Privacy policy and your data

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, forms or ads, and no analytics.
Your quiz answers stay in the page address (so the back button and sharing work) and are never sent to us.
Rigs you pick to compare are kept only in your own browser's storage, on your device.

To run the site and keep it secure. We do not sell your data.

Amazon Web Services hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers keep standard request logs (such as IP address, page and time) for security and reliability.
Some rig pages have a maker walkthrough video. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play: the play button and poster are drawn by FamilyRigs, not loaded from YouTube. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube (owned by Google) through its youtube-nocookie.com player, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies. YouTube may set cookies or store data in your browser once the video plays. The "Watch on YouTube" link takes you to youtube.com itself.

Ask us to show, correct, or delete the data we hold about you and we will.

We use only what the site needs to work. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will say so here first.
